If you’ve ever been out to BRCCC on a Wednesday night you’re likely to have come across some of our members carrying bags and boxes full of equipment that they use each week in running their cars. The good news is that to get started in RC cars and in particular, RC car racing you don’t need all that equipment, in fact, you need very little equipment and your initial outlay costs can be as little as $400.

This guide has been put together to provide you with an understanding of the type of equipment, options and minimum costs you’re likely to encounter if you want to get into the hobby.

First Night Racing

If you're about to head off to your local club for the first time this article will provide you with information on what to do when you get there and how to prepare yourself for your first night racing. You've finished your race. Now it's time for some routine. This article provides a simple checklist anyone can use after each race to maintain their equipment and ensure you are ready for the next race. Doing this will ensure that you reduce the likelihood of issues occurring during subsequent races. Regular maintenance ensures your equipment lasts longer and keeps your running costs down.
